'If you loved Tell No One you will devour this'
Gary Tapp is a new writer – his debut crime thriller is Double Exposure published in 2025.
The sequel Over Exposure is followed by a prequel story Under Exposure.
Blind Exposure is still in the making – available in 2026.
The Exposure Series is, at its heart, a sustained meditation on the question of whether a person can truly become someone else. Across four novels and a span of roughly four years of fictional time, the series follows a man who has worn at least five names — Stan Kowalski, Dominic Ferretti, James Clarke, and finally Sam Mitchell — and asks what remains when you strip away everything a person has chosen to call themselves.
Read in the order they were published, the four novels offer a reading experience that is structurally unusual and emotionally rewarding in ways that become fully apparent only at the end. The series does not move simply forward or backward. It moves in both directions simultaneously: the first two books carry the story forward from a particular moment in a man's life, while the third goes back to his beginning, and the fourth resolves everything by bringing in a character the reader has never met and positioning him as the lens through which the whole of the preceding history becomes finally legible. It is a structure that requires the reader's patience and rewards it generously.
Double Exposure, Over Exposure and Under Exposure are available to buy at Amazon.
